Republicans in the House at least deserve a little credit for passing an anti-Amnesty bill, although belatedly – to block President Obama’s unconstitutional immigration orders. Now what is the Senate going to do? And what are we going to do to make sure they pass it or die trying? Paul Arnold at “Make Them Listen” knows. Some background:
Spending authorization for the Department of Homeland Security expires at the end of February. The House has already passed a bill to extend that authorization, but with some stipulations, such as blocking the implementation of Obama’s “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program” (the “Dream Act by fiat”), which was begun in 2012.
It continued with a series of enforcement directives called the Morton memos dating from 2011 and 2012; and the November 2014 executive amnesty for large swaths of adult illegal immigrants. Millions and millions.
Do you want the GOP to ever win an election again? This is the importation of Democrat votes – why can everyone not see that?
In a nutshell: The House has passed a DHS appropriations bill that “defunds” not just President Obama’s recent executive action shielding illegal immigrants from deportation, but his 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, too.
Another six Democrats at minimum would have to sign off on passing this in the Senate, too — and Mitch McConnell said that’s just not going to happen.. wth?
Our pal Paul Arnold at “Make Them Listen” has set up a crucial FACEBOOK Event to put pressure on McConnell and your Senators. Click HERE to Join:
1. Call Senator McConnell and Tell him to bring the House anti-amnesty bill to the floor now and keep it there until enough Democrats can be pressured to advance it. Tell him that if he is serious about stopping amnesty, he won’t surrender as he has done in the past.
2. Call the 5 Senate Republican Leaders listed below and tell them to fight for the House bill to defund amnesty. They campaigned against the president’s agenda last year and now they need to deliver.
3. Call the rest of our 100 Senators. Full directory listed HERE:
