How corrupt are Democrats? Let’s see just how many bad analogies we can come up with before our first cup of coffee.
- Are Tom Brady’s balls soft?
- Is John Boehner’s spine weak?
- Is Jerry Sandusky the best baby sitter or what?
- Is Richard Nixon a crook?
- Should Kim Kardashian’s name be spelled Kardasshian?
- Is Michael Moore stupid and fat?
- Does Barack Obama even know what the truth is?
OK, we could play this game all day but you get the idea. If you’d like to add to our list, please have at it in the Comments. We may turn this into a contest, winner doesn’t get dinner with Bill and Hillary Clinton!
Of course Democrats are corrupt. Some Republicans are too, but for downright, in-your-face, take your money and flash it, f* you I’m untouchable corruption no group beats Democrats.
Earlier this week we featured the latest poster boy for corruption, Sheldon Silver, the long time Speaker of the New York State Assembly. He was indicted on a laundry list of corruption charges and his corruption dates back decades. The indictment goes on for 35 pages and unless Sheldon is able to buy the jury his career is dead and gone.
Sheldon does have his defenders though.
But Silver also had his defenders — none more fervent than Mayor Bill de Blasio, who described his Albany ally as “a man of integrity” on the day he was charged with taking bribes of nearly $4 million.
“Although the charges announced today certainly are very serious, I want to note that I’ve always known Shelly Silver to be a man of integrity, and he certainly has due-process rights, and I think it’s important that we let the judicial process play out,” the mayor said at City Hall.
“Shelly [is]a man of integrity…” Right. Silver has been long known to be a sleaze bucket, power mad, corrupt politician. This is just the first time anybody had the chutzpah to put together a case on him. Note that this is a federal prosecution, not a state prosecution.
We’re shocked that Eric Holder would give his blessings on the indictment of a fellow Democrat.
The members of the New York Assembly are still scared to death of Silver.
“All I can say is the speaker has the full support of the conference,” said Assemblyman David Weprin (D-Queens).
Are we surprised? No.
