Guess What NBC Omitted From Pledge Of Allegiance…AGAIN?

0

It seems NBC doesn’t have a lot of love for the Almighty–or the fact we were founded as a Christian nation–as they’ve once again omitted “God” from the Pledge of Allegiance during the promo for their new show, Allegiance.

I bet if it were “Allah” in there, they’d have been too terrified to take it out.

Terrorists don’t take kindly to that sort of thing, you know.

From Fox News:

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands,” a chorus of voices intones in the spot. “One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

It’s not the first time the Peacock Network has dissed a deity.

In 2011 NBC was forced, yes forced, to apologize after they omitted the phrase “one nation under God” from its coverage over the U.S. Open Championship. It happened not once, but twice.

The omission ignited a firestorm on Twitter, the New York Daily News reported at the time.

NBC released a statement to the trade publication Broadcasting & Cable and said the decision to eliminate God was “made by a small group of people.”

“This was a bad decision,” NBC stated.

So if it was a bad decision the first time around, why in the heck did they do it again?

We live in a culture that is so saturated in progressive hate for religion–particularly Christianity–that the mere mention of God is enough to send liberals into hysterics.

I hate to break it to you folks, but this is indeed a Christian nation. Or at least, it was until progressivism began rotting away the core of our country.

There are endless quotes from our Founding Fathers about the integral role religion and morality play in sustaining a free society. Here are a few examples.

“We have no government armed in power capable of contending in human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”–John Adams

“In my opinion, the present constitution is the standard to which we are to cling…. Let an association be formed to be denominated ‘The Christian Constitutional Society,’ its object to be first: The support of the Christian religion. Second: The support of the United States.”–Alexander Hamilton

“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Man and citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity…
Let it simply be asked where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in Courts of Justice?”–George Washington

Sorry NBC, but you’re failing miserably by attempting to remove God from culture and society.

Our Founders make it clear, without God and religion, there is no America, and I think our country, which is trying desperately to cast Him aside is experiencing the erosion of freedom as a result, thus vindicating the words of those who launched our nation.

It’s time for NBC to do the right thing and change up the promo. We need more God, not less.
