Tuesday night was historic for conservatives across America, as citizens soundly rejected President Obama and his progressive agenda, taking full control of both the House and the Senate.
The night was full of surprises as Republican candidates stomped a mud hole in their Democratic opponents in states that were supposed to be liberal strongholds, such as Illinois. Utah elected its first female black Senator, who also is a Republican.
But that wasn’t the biggest surprise of the evening. Last night also saw the election of the youngest lawmaker in American history in the form of 18-year-old Saira Blair. Can you guess if she’s liberal or conservative? If you guessed conservative, congratulations, you get a cookie.
According to Fox News Insider, Blair was elected to West Virginia’s House of Delegates after completely annihilating her Democratic opponent earning 63 percent of the vote. Layne Diehl, the Democratic candidate she was up against, only managed to pull in a measly 30 percent.
Yes, Ms. Democrat, you just soundly had your 44-year-old rear-end handed to you by a barely out of high school teenager who loves guns and hates abortion.
I bet that stings a bit!
Tucker Carlson spoke about the massive disappointment likely being experienced by Diehl on Fox News’ Outnumbered saying, “Can you imagine the midlife crisis that would ensue if you were beaten by a college student? It’s hard enough being 44.”
Blair’s election should definitely give conservatives around the country a much needed dose of hope.
Much of the younger generation has been so thoroughly brainwashed through the liberal indoctrination they receive in public school and college that they end up becoming big government drones, completely incapable of putting together an original, well reasoned thought without help from the nanny state.
Seeing an 18-year-old capable of thinking critically through important principles and ideals is a reminder that progressives haven’t completely destroyed the future of this country. If parents take an active role in raising and educating their kids, instilling common sense values and morals in their lives, they’ll likely retain them into adulthood. It’s tough. It’s hard. It’s 100 percent necessary for the survival of individual liberty and free society.
Despite liberalism dominating much of the culture, Americans still, somewhere beneath the surface, long for freedom and personal responsibility. It’s wired into us. It’s the way we’re created. The fact that citizens are so desperate for candidates who believe in these principles they’d vote an 18-year-old kid into office rather than a seasoned politician is all the evidence we need to prove that right now is the perfect time to take the conservative movement to the next level.
So let’s get to work!
