Some Truth on “Al Jazeera America” & Duplicitous U.S. Media Companies

0

In late August of 2013, “Al Jazeera America” launch into 48 million homes initially, after regular Al Jazeera (owned by the good folks in Qatar – more on them later) bought “Current TV” from Al Gore & partners for $500 million (or about $100 million per viewer)..

They stripped the name, took out all the crappy “Current TV” content you weren’t watching anyway and took out a full page ad in the Washington Post. They called it “Al Jazeera America.” Guess who bit?

I’ll tell you, but first: Why do cable and satellite companies carry “Al Jazeera America” but not “One America News Network”? Just askin’..

In classic Goebbels fashion, they promoted the channel with slogans like “Shouldn’t news just give me the facts?”; and “Change the way you look at news. Introducing Al Jazeera America. Get more depth. More perspectives. Every day.”

Oh, brother.. In other words, they’re going to deliver the news without an opinion? Sorry if I’ve heard this one before.

Anyhoozer, here’s where the avarice and anti-Americanism comes in, and I’m not talking about Qatar – I’m actually talking about American Media Companies: They carried this joke of a news channel and got plenty of cheer leading along the way:

Reuters’ Liana Baker wrote, “Defining its mission clearly will be crucial for Al Jazeera to gain a foothold in the United States, a goal that has so far eluded the award-winning network.”

Believe me, there were others – I just like Liana’s.

Not only is Al Gore doing business with a terrorist organization, so are American Media Companies: Comcast, DirecTV and Dish Network already carry Al Jazeera America, and Al Jazeera has plans to force their way onto more cable bills. Time Warner Cable, which carried Current TV, dropped Al Jazeera America.

Yet, they refuse to carry my favorite show; “The Rick Amato Show” on my favorite network, “One America News Network.” Can’t even get it if you want it. An American Network, owned by an American, with ‘America’ in it’s name (just like Al Jazeera America!).

Hmm.. Did I mention I’m on “The Rick Amato Show” tonight? Okay – back to terrorist-funding Qatar, Al Jazeera America and the downright traitorous actions of some Cable Companies:

Sound too harsh there? I’m only saying that because they refuse to carry; “The Rick Amato Show” on my favorite network, “One America News Network?” Wrong again, coaxial-breath.

Al Jazeera is owned by the Qatari government, which is run by the Al Thani family.  The U.S. State Department describes Qatar this way:

Qatar is an hereditary constitutional monarchy governed by the ruling Al Thani family in consultation with a council of ministers, an appointed advisory council and an elected municipal council.

That would be the Obama State Department. If it were a real State Department, Qatar would be considered a dangerous threat to the region, Israel and the world at large.

By the way, Mr. Global Warming – let’s go solar – I need a massage – Gore – Qatar is a kingdom — complete with a royal family that controls massive wealth from their substantial oil and gas reserves. Just sayin’. By the way, Al Jazeera America is being sued by Al Gore on the grounds that they owe him more money and their programming isn’t anti-American enough.

But seriously, Al Jezeera is really being sued for $65 million by Al Gore.  Al Jazeera’s lawyers think they can get that reduced to a simple beheading.

The network used its Qatari oil money to initially hire over 850 staffers and opened bureaus in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

Their mission was to, provide “fact-based, unbiased, and in-depth news” with “less yelling and fewer celebrity sightings” than its competitors.

Oh, sure – thousands of “journalists” sent over their resume’s hoping – just hoping – to get in good with the ultimate in left-wing, phony, State-run (REAL State-run) propaganda – dressed up like legit news.

From National Review:

AJA has scooped up the same sort of refugees to work behind the scenes. The senior vice president for news gathering, Marcy McGinnis, was teaching journalism at Stony Brook University when AJA came knocking, after being forced out of CBS News.

David Doss, the longtime executive producer of CNN’s AC360, was unemployed before he started at AJA in July.

The pattern holds all the way on down to the network’s social-media editor, Jared Keller, who was fired by Bloomberg after text messages surfaced in which he complained about his job. His next stop? Al Jazeera America.

The situation is particularly poignant for Jewish producers, some of whom had to choose between unemployment and relatively well-paying work for a channel whose parent network has exhibited virulent anti-Semitism.

A cynical joke making the rounds of television Jewry refers to “Jews for Jazeera,” a subtle play, of course, on “Jews for Jesus.”

soledadAl Jazeera America is best known for their morning news show, “Good Morning Death to America.” They even signed up Soledad O’Brien at one point.

They already had 40 million households, between Al Jazeera America asked viewers to request the channel if their cable providers do not carry it. The network’s website provides a form letter for viewers to send to cable providers that reads:

I am writing to request that you add Al Jazeera America as part of your channel lineup.

I want to watch Al Jazeera America for its objective, balanced, in-depth news reporting on stories that matter.

Please let me know when I can expect to see Al Jazeera America as a channel option.

Soledad is buddies with you know who.

That helps.

Radio host Hugh Hewitt asked Soledad O’Brien if she was on the payroll of terror sponsors?

Was he talking about Qatar or the President? I wonder..

O’Brien responded by saying she puts quality journalism above all.

Hewitt continued; “I know that the journalism can be good,” Hewitt pressed, “but if the funding for the journalism comes from a regime that is funding ISIS, does it creep you out?”

“No reply-eye-eye-eye..”

Check it out:

It’s an odd place to be, getting paid good Arab oil money to produce somber, liberal news programing that nobody watches. Is this really a career, or it is journalism’s version of mowing the grass at the Astrodome?

Either way, if you’re going to call you cable company – tell them to drop Al Jazeera and pick up my fav – One America News Network. The real Deal.

Remember: They have all your old private phone calls, texts and emails, too – all stored and ready to roll out when needed. Think I’m paranoid? Five years ago I would have though so too.

How long before there’s a 1-800 number to call when you’ve spoken to a “racist” or an “anti-government” or “Tea Party” sympathizer on the phone you want to report?
