Michael Brown’s mom: “I don’t want words, I want action” …Then it Got Weird

The parents of Michael Brown said “meh” to the video-taped apology given by the Ferguson, Missouri, police Chief Tom Jackson regarding their 18-year-old son killed by a police officer.

Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, said, “yes,” when asked if Chief Tom Jackson should be fired, and his father, Michael Brown Sr., said rather than an apology, they would rather see the officer who shot their son arrested. “An apology would be when Darren Wilson has handcuffs, processed and charged with murder..”

Well that was productive. Tensions flared, Friday it got worse and Saturday night a police officer was shot. Police Chief Jackson went even further, joining demonstrators in protests near City Hall. i guess he’s only trying to help? Yeah, not so much.. Way to throw your officers under the bus, there Tommy Boy.

Lesley McSpadden (Michael Brown’s mother): “There’s going to continue to be unrest until they do what should be done.. I don’t want words, I want action..”

.. you got it.

Attorney General Eric Holder met with the parents a couple months ago, and they hope his resignation Thursday won’t hurt their cause. “I’ve got confidence in him in that he will make sure that what needs to be done is done before he exits,” McSpadden said.

Brown’s parents also met with the Congressional Black Caucus, and plan to keep on lobbying for their thoughts on justice. Brown Sr. called their efforts a fight for human rights. “Our fight here is to just open other eyes and understand how we’re feeling and try to get something done about it.”

McSpadden said her son was taught to respect his elders.

… Apparently, the store owners Michael Brown robbed and the cop he rushed were younger than him?
