This Was No Accident

tinfoil hatHappily embracing anticipated accusations that suggest my tinfoil hat may be on a little too tight, I insist that this was no freaking accident:

People in Ohio, Michigan and 15 other states found themselves unable to use their food stamp debit-style cards on Saturday, after a routine test of backup systems by vendor Xerox Corp. resulted in a system failure.

At about 9 a.m. Saturday, reports from across the country began pouring in that customers’ EBT cards were not working in stores.

At 2 p.m., an EBT customer service representative told CBS Boston that the system was currently down for a computer system upgrade.

Xerox spokeswoman Jennifer Wasmer released further details later in the afternoon in an emailed statement.
[snip] Wasmer said the affected states also included Alabama, California, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.

U.S. Department of Agriculture spokeswoman Courtney Rowe said the outage is not related to the government shutdown.

I call bs on this… really? With the whole country on food stamps, we’re expected to believe this was an oopsy during a system upgrade, but that it only affected 17 states, randomly spread throughout various seemingly-unrelated regions of the country?

HopeyChangeyHmm… seems more than a coincidence to me that a good chunk of these states are among the highest per-capita recipients of food stamps in the country, and that roughly 60% of these states went along with HopeyChangey the Clown back in ’12. Someone’s gonna have to work real hard to convince me that the gubmint ain’t in on pissing off the most desperate among us for basic human survival in order to make them desperate, and blackmail them into submitting to the will of the tyrants.

That’s the sorta s@#t Liberal extremists do ever day.
